CISF Syllabus And Exam Pattern 2021: Assistant Commandant (EXE)

The UPSC conducts the CISF Assistant Commandant (EXE). The selection procedure will have the written test and consists of two papers:

Paper 1 – General Ability and intelligence and Professional skill
Paper 2 – Essay, Precis writing and comprehension

Paper 1 will be of objective type and Paper 2 will be of descriptive type. Check the exam pattern below:

In Paper 2, the Essay writing will carry 80 marks and the comprehension part will include 120 marks. The duration of this descriptive type exam will be for 3 hours.

The syllabus for the written exam Paper 1 and 2 are as follows:

Syllabus for Paper 1 – General ability and intelligence

  1. General mental ability: quantitative aptitude, numerical ability, logical reasoning and data interpretation.
  2. General Science: includes general questions from the areas of Information Technology, Environmental science and Biotechnology.
  3. General Awareness: History of India, Indian geography, world geography, Indian politics and Economy.
  4. Current events of national and international importance including the areas of sports, literature, culture, music, arts, governance, industry, business and globalisation.

Syllabus for Paper 2 – Essay and Comprehension

  1. Essay – Candidates need to write an essay on the topics related to modern Indian history and analytical ability. The medium of essay can be English or Hindi.
  2. This part includes comprehension passages, précise writing, developing counter arguments, simple grammar, language testing etc. The medium of writing for comprehension & precise writing is English.

The candidates who qualify in the written test will be called for PST and then the shortlisted candidates will be called for an Interview.

CISF Syllabus And Exam Pattern 2021: Sub-Inspector

The selection process of CISF is conducted by SSC and involves the following stages:

  2. Written Test
  3. Skill Test
  4. Medical Examination

The Exam Pattern of Written exam in SSC for Sub-Inspector exam is as under:

CISF Syllabus And Exam Pattern 2021: Constable/ Tradesman

The selection process of CISF Constable/ Tradesman involves the following stages:

  1. Height Bar Test
  2. Physical Efficiency Test
  3. Physical Standard Test
  4. Documentation
  5. Trade Test
  6. Written Test

The HBT, PET, PST stages are qualifying in nature. After the completion of these stages, candidates must go through the document verification process. The document verification will be followed by Trade Test. Check the syllabus of the trade test below:

  1. Cook – Cookin of Chapati, Rice, Vegetable, Dal, Samber, Idli, Fish, etc.
  2. Cobbler/ Bootmaker – Polishing of shoes, Handling of tools, Cutting of leather repair & stitching of Shoes.
  3. Barber – Handling of tools, Hair Cutting and Shaving
  4. Washer-Man – Washing of clothes, Ironing of Khaki Cotton Uniform, woollen and Terry cotton Uniforms.
  5. Carpenter – Handling of tools, Cutting of wood, Fitting, polishing and finishing of material.
  6. Sweeper – Sweeping, Cleaning of toilets, bathrooms and more.
  7. Painter – Knowledge of colours, paints and shades, Painting of signboards and drawing.
  8. Mason – Preparation of Mashala, Mason/Construction work, Plastering work, Laying down floor tiles and plastering floor.
  9. Plumber – To lay the pipeline, Repair of water pipeline, Fitting of Taps, Geyser, Flush and Wash Basin.
  10. Mali – Plantations and making grafts, Maintenance of plants, Knowledge of seeds and their sowing season, Fertilizers in Seeti Deseeti and indigenous manures.
  11. Electrician – Knowledge of AC/ DC current, New Electric Fitting, Rectification of Electric fault.

The Trade Test will be followed by the written test, check the Exam Pattern below:

The selection procedure of CISF Head Constable includes the following stages:

The candidates must attend the Physical Standard Test and those candidates who are qualified in the physical standard test will be eligible for further rounds of the selection procedure.

CISF Head Constable Selection Process: Physical Standard Test (PET)

The requirements in male candidates for Physical Standard Test (PST) are tabulated below:

Note:

  • Chest measurement is not applicable for female candidates.
  • Ex-Servicemen candidates shall be eligible for total relaxation in the case of the Physical Standards Test or PST.

CISF Head Constable Selection Process: CISF Exam Pattern For Written Test

Candidates who are qualified in Physical Standard Test are eligible to appear for CISF Written Test. The CISF HC exam pattern for Written Test is tabulated below:

  • a. It contains 4 sections.
  • b. Each section carries 25 marks.

CISF Head Constable Selection Process: CISF Skill Test & Medical Examination

Skill Test: Candidates who are qualified in the above two rounds are eligible for this round. For Skill Test, candidates must have a typing speed of 35 words per minute (WPM). Candidates can type either in English or in Hindi.

Medical Test: Candidates who are qualified in the skill test stage will be called for Medical Examination. The medical test will be according to the medical standards and the details will be notified later by the officials.
